Jude Garcia believes Criss Cross will bounce back stronger

Jude Garcia's reentry into the Spikers' Turf was nothing short of spectacular as he soared to the title of the league's Most Valuable Player.

For Garcia, it was a triumphant return to indoor action after a stint in the sun-drenched world of beach volleyball.

Racking up an impressive 182 points, Garcia proved his mettle on the court, ranking second in points scored, with 137 spikes, 34 blocks, and 11 service aces under his belt.

But his dominance didn't stop there; he carved his place among the elite, ranking third in spiking, first in blocking, and second in serving.

His prowess was a testament to his multifaceted skills, honed both on the sand and in the indoor arena.

Yet, Garcia's individual success was only part of the narrative.

His team, the King Crunchers, delivered a commendable performance, clinching a silver finish in the conference.

Despite falling short to the powerhouse Cignal squad in the Finals, Garcia remained resolute, seeing the defeat as a mere stepping stone in the journey of Criss Cross, the newfound rival of the reigning champions.

In a post-game interview, Garcia expressed his gratitude to his teammates, acknowledging their collective effort in their inaugural campaign.

“Sobrang proud ako sa team namin kahit bago pa lang kami at sobrang thankful ako sa kanilang lahat kasi lahat kami nag-cocontribute, lahat kami naghirap dito at hindi lang naman ako. Maraming, maraming salamat sa mga teammates ko," he remarked.

Looking ahead, Garcia exuded determination, vowing to come back stronger in the next season.

“‘Di pa kasi nagtatapos ‘yung laban namin. Bawi kami next season, ‘yun lang ‘yung masasabi ko. Paghahandaan talaga namin ‘yung pag-comeback namin next season. Pag-iigihan pa namin ‘yung mga ginawa namin this season at pagbubutihan pa namin," he asserted, his unwavering resolve evident in his words.

But Garcia's appreciation extended beyond the confines of the court. He recognized the unwavering support of the fans, whose presence fueled their every play. Throughout the conference, the stands swelled with eager spectators, drawn by the electrifying matches and the league's enticing promotions.

In the Finals series, the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum bore witness to a spectacle, as fans flocked to witness the birth of a burgeoning rivalry. Among the throngs of supporters were volleyball luminaries, drawn by the promise of intense competition and the emergence of new stars.

"Salamat sa mga fans ng Spikers’ Turf sa men’s na hindi kami iniwan," Garcia expressed his gratitude to the loyal supporters, including his dedicated fan club, the "Judenatics."

“Ito na ‘yung kumbaga pag-shine din ng men’s volleyball sa Pilipinas. Dapat lagi nating tangkilikin din ‘yung men’s at ‘wag niyo kaming iwan," he urged, his words echoing a sentiment shared by players and fans alike.

As the final whistle blew and the confetti fell, Garcia stood tall, his eyes fixed on the horizon of possibilities. For him and Criss Cross, the journey had only just begun, and with each spike, block, and serve, they were poised to carve their names into the annals of volleyball greatness.
