Tai Bundit and Criss Cross have transformed heartbreak into a defining era of dominance in the Spikers’ Turf.
The King Crunchers finally broke through last November, capturing their first-ever title after outlasting Japan’s Kindai University in a gripping five-set thriller in the 2025 Invitational Conference final.
That breakthrough proved to be only the beginning. Months later, Criss Cross completed a title repeat in the 2026 Open Conference, turning back the Savouge Spin Doctors in a winner-take-all Game 3 built on the leadership of five-time Conference Most Valuable Player Jude Garcia.
The back-to-back championships cemented Criss Cross as the league’s new standard-bearer, culminating in their unanimous selection as Spikers’ Turf Team of the Year by print and online scribes covering the men’s club league organized by Sports Vision.
Bundit’s impact will also be formally recognized on May 30 at the 2nd Pilipinas Live PVL Press Corps Awards Night at Novotel Manila Araneta City, where he is set to be named Coach of the Year.
At the heart of Criss Cross' rise is head coach Tai Bundit, who was also named Coach of the Year after steadily laying down the foundations of a championship culture that turned silver finishes into sustained success.
What once was a program defined by close calls has now become one of control and consistency, with Criss Cross establishing itself as the benchmark all others must now chase.
