VNS signs Medalla, Bagalay

VNS has bolstered its roster for the Spikers Turf Open Conference by acquiring comebacking Ron Medalla and beach volleyball standout Pemie Bagalay, the club announced through its official Facebook account Monday.

The Griffins have waited for a year to have Medalla back after missing the entire 2022 due to injury.

A two-time UAAP men's volleyball champion for Ateneo, Medalla hurt his left knee in the inaugural PNVF Champions League for Men at the Lipa City bubble in November 2021.

Bagalay is making his comeback indoors through VNS.

An NCAA all-time scoring record holder (45 points) and a NCAA men's beach volleyball champion for Mapua, Bagalay will play as an outside spiker for the Griffins to back up Medalla.

VNS placed fourth in the Spikers' Turf return last year.
