VNS has unveiled five tall players for the new Spikers' Turf season.
The Griffins on Tuesday announced the acquisition of veterans Gadpray Aresgado, a 6-foot-4 outside hitter whose previous clubs were Santa Rosa, Cignal, Bacolod and MRT Negros, and Clark Fernandez, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker who had stints with Vanguard, Bacolod and MRT Negros.
Jester Bornel, a 6-foot-2 middle blocker who previously suited up for XentroMall-EAC, Jopeth Torico, a 6-foot-2 former University of St. La Salle Bacolod standout, and Bukharie Sali, a 6-foot-5 player who was with the VNS juniors team, has also signed up for the Ralph Ocampo-mentored side.
"Get ready for some thrilling matches as these talented athletes showcase their skills! Let's cheer them on as they aim for victory in the upcoming tournaments," the Griffins posted through their Facebook account.
VNS failed to reach the Invitational Conference quarterfinals despite having a 4-1 record in pool play as it lost via the tiebreaker.
