Savouge is making a serious bid for the championship in the 2026 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference, announcing the signings of former Cignal stars Louie Ramirez and JP Bugaoan, along with KC Andrade, on Friday.
The additions come as Cignal takes a leave of absence for the season-opening conference, giving the Spin Doctors the opportunity to bolster their roster with proven talent.
Ramirez, 25, brings two Spikers’ Turf championships to Savouge and was named Finals MVP during Cignal’s 2024 Invitational Conference run. He also represented the Philippines with Alas Pilipinas in last year’s FIVB Men’s World Championship and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
Bugaoan, 27, is a four-time Best Middle Blocker awardee and was instrumental in six of Cignal’s nine Spikers’ Turf titles, providing Savouge with invaluable experience in the middle.
Andrade, who saw limited playing time with Cignal, adds depth to the roster and comes off a successful collegiate career highlighted by a Best Middle Blocker award with Perpetual.
Together with Mark Calado, Shawie Caritativo, and Giles Torres, the new signings give Savouge a formidable core aimed at turning three consecutive semifinal appearances into a breakthrough finals run.
