Cignal, composed of Alas Pilipinas players, is set for a challenging campaign in the 2025 AVC Men’s Champions League.
In preparation for the upcoming FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship, Alas Pilipinas will head to Japan for a much-needed series of competitive matches against elite competition.
They will take on Osaka Blueton of host nation Japan and Shanghai Bright Volleyball Club of China.
Meanwhile, Pool A will feature Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds, Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club, and Kazakhstan’s Aqtobe VC.
Pool C is composed of Iran’s Volleyball Club, Taichung Bank of Chinese Taipei, and Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin VC.
Lastly, Pool D will see Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club, Vietnam’s Sports Training Center, and Bahrain’s Club battle for a spot in the next round.
The preliminary round will be held at the Panasonic Arena in Hirakata, while the final round will take place at the Shimadzu Arena in Kyoto.
The tournament will run from May 11 to 18.
