CIGNAL continued its rebuilding for the Spikers' Turf by acquiring six new players, including three from Iloilo's D'Navigators.
The HD Spikers, through their social media accounts, announced Friday that they have signed up middle blocker Mfewana Gwaza, Giles Torres, and libero Vince Lorenzo, who were solid for D'Navigators in the previous conference.
Madz Gampong and Ronniel Rosales, both formerly from Santa Rosa, and setter Cian Silang, who suited up for AMC-Cotabato, were Cignal's new recruits.
Jao Umandal, a former Open Conference MVP and a Best Outside Spiker awardee in the just-concluded Invitational Conference, Umandal will now be the HD Spikers' main man with the departure of Marck Espejo.
Setter EJ Casaña, JP Bugaoan, Alfred Valbuena, Wendell Miguel, and Lloyd Josafat will also be Cignal's vital cogs for the new Spikers' Turf season, which begins next month.
The HD Spikers won the Open Conference crown and placed second in the Invitational Conference.
Espejo and libero Manuel Sumanguid III have already bid goodbye to Cignal.
