The Cabstars also strengthened their bid for a top-two spot in Pool B, securing a solo second position with a 3-1 record.
"Actually, hanggang ngayon dama namin 'yung sakit ng pagkatalo namin sa VNS eh, so 'yun 'yung nagmotivate sa amin today," said Cabuyao coach Kitty Antiporta, referring to their previous five-setter setback against the Griffins last Wednesday.
Gab Magsino's blocking prowess was evident late in the third set as he anchored the Cabstars' finishing blast, concluding the match in 71 minutes.
Magsino, alongside Michael Doria, led Cabuyao with 12 points each, while Jerico Adajar orchestrated their offense with 17 excellent sets.
Dominic Panganiban contributed 10 points for the victors, and Jomar Soriano added seven points and nine digs.
Carlo Agatep paced the 0-4 Dolphins with 11 points.
