Cabstars-Cabuyao were extra motivated heading into their first foray in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference.
Aside from playing against top-flight talents and showcasing their skills in the country’s premier men’s volleyball league, Cabuyao head coach Christian Antiporta revealed that the Cabstars had another motivating force in their debut.
That motivation was to inspire young aspiring volleyball players in their area and to show them that their dream, even if it seems distant, is within reach.
Walang imposible. Hanggat kaya, hanggat pinaghihirapan. Yun lang,” he added.
The Cabstars did just that, taking down MKA-San Beda in four sets, 26-24, 25-27, 25-22, 26-24, to secure their first win in Pool B.
Cabuyao is set to take on the veteran-laden Philippine Air Force next on November 10, and they will be carrying that same motivation when they take on the Airmen.
