Bryan Bagunas and Marck Espejo emerge triumphant as champions in their respective leagues.
Bagunas showcased his prowess, leading Win Streak to a convincing two-game victory over Taipower in the 2023-24 Top Volleyball League Finals.
His stellar performance included a spectacular 20-point contribution in Game 1's 25-23, 25-17, 25-19 win, followed by another strong showing with 16 points in their 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 triumph last Sunday, securing consecutive championships for his team.
In a parallel success story, Espejo's Incheon Korean Air dominated the 2023-2024 South Korea V-League Men's Championship, sweeping Ansan OK Financial Group.
Despite Espejo not taking the court during the best-of-five series, his team, the Jumbos, displayed exceptional skill, claiming victory in all three games: 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18 in Game 1; 25-21, 25-21, 29-27 in Game 2; and 27-25, 16-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13 in Game 3.
Espejo's instrumental role during the elimination round cannot be understated, where he amassed an impressive total of 111 points across 23 games, boasting a remarkable 53.25-percent attack rate.
With this win, Incheon Korean Air secures their fourth consecutive title, showcasing their dominance in the league.
As they bask in their triumph, Bagunas and Espejo will soon return home to gear up for their next challenges, representing Cignal and Criss Cross, respectively, in the ongoing 2024 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.
